Step by step

Width, length, fullness, and header style

01

Measure rod width

Measure the rod, track, or tension rod where the curtain will hang. This is usually more useful than only measuring the glass.

02

Decide finished length

Choose sill length, cafe height, floor length, or puddle length based on the room and product style.

03

Add fullness

For lace and sheer curtains, 1.5x to 2x fullness often gives a softer, more romantic look.

04

Pick a header

Rod pocket, hook tape, magic tape, grommet, and tension-rod pockets all need different sewing details.

Header styles

Choose the installation method before ordering

Rod pocket

Best for simple rods and cafe curtains that slide directly over the rod.

Magic tape

A lightweight no-drill option for certain windows and products.

Hook tape

For curtain tracks, hooks, and more structured hanging.

Grommet top

Eyelet-style curtain top for rods and a modern drape look.

Finished size means the final sewn width and length of the curtain panel itself.
